“There were over 90 events in the program and a lot said they went really well,” Ms Gundry said.
Ms Gundry said the Ross Hill and Lolli Redini Long Lunch sold out with 200 guests, and on Saturday 253 people attended Wine in the Vines, and 350 people sat down for The Bull Paddock Long Lunch at Heifer Station.
She said the Orange Wine Festival Night Market was a success with 6200 people sampling an array of wines and food from Orange and Cabonne producers.
The Vino Express also brought 70 people who paid $900 each to travel by train to Orange for two days of wine festival entertainment.
As well as success at the larger events, Ms Gundry said smaller events were also well attended such as vertical tastings and master classes, which she said was great for the region because that’s what the Orange wine industry was about.
“I think we’ve got a pretty good formula at the moment for next year,” she said.
One of the biggest changes made to the festival this year was the move from hard-copy booklets to an online program.
“That’s a really big change from previous years but it hasn’t seemed to have changed any of our bookings,” Ms Gundry said.

“Most of our visitors find out about our events from online and book online.”
She said this was reflected in the statistics from the website, which was launched this year.
Ms Gundry said there were 42,000 page views and 13,100 users who looked at the Orange Wine Festival website in the lead up to and during the event.
“I think for a first run for our program being online, and we printed 10,000 of our maps, that’s a significant number of people engaged in our program,” she said.
“Most people have a mobile phone, 58.68 per cent were using their mobile phone on our website.
“It just proves to me that we’ve made the right decision to go online with our program.”
However, she said there were some lessons learnt and she said next year they will look a bit more at functionality on the website for people to see what’s happening if they are only visiting Orange for one or two days.
