A bank spokeswoman said the $1.5 million upgrade meant the branch and business centre were now one of ANZ’s latest digital branches.
“[It] features interactive tools such as a ‘discovery zone’ that allows customers to learn how to do online banking using in-branch iPads,” she said.
“The new design is open plan, brighter design with no traditional teller barriers. Instead, customers will be greeted at the door and served by roaming tellers, or assisted with transactions at side by side telling stations.”
She said the new layout also included spaces where banking consultants and customers could sit down for conversations.
“The branch will also feature larger spaces to hold events such as ‘tech talks’ a new educational series ANZ is launching to help customers learn about internet banking and apps as well as first home buying seminars,” she said.
It reopened on August 29.
