Organiser Jane Arnott said the more than 6200 people who came through the gates made for “certainly the largest crowd we’ve ever had.”
Wine from 27 of the region’s producers kept crowds in good spirits, while 20 food stalls kept families fed.
Musicians Austen Logan and Sebastián Jones provided entertainment for the balmy evening while Bissy’s Cafe ran children’s activities.
Mrs Arnott said feedback from the stallholders was very positive, with several selling out of food and wine by the end of the evening’s proceedings.
“Wines were doing a great trade, so was beer and cider,” she said.

“It was nice to see so many families and young people, a mix of people of all ages having a really great time.”
Alicia Hodge traveled across from Sydney with sister Melanie Hodge and friend Johan Overa to attend the wine festival, and said the market exceeded expectations in terms of ambiance and the amount of people.
Wine festival attendees for the first time, Ms Hodge said they found out about the event after a weekend in Orange last year.
Despite many of the events being booked out by the time the group decided to make the road trip, Ms Hodge said their cellar door experiences had made the drive worthwhile.
“It’s been fantastic – we’ll probably do this again next year,” she said.
