Sommelier David Collins accepted the award on behalf of the New Street restaurant at a ceremony at NSW Parliament House.
The awards focus on businesses which promote local wines that compliment the food featured on their menu.
This is the second time Charred’s wine list has been acknowledged in recent months, with the restaurant receiving Gourmet Traveller Wine Readers’ Choice Award in July.
Gourmet Traveller judges awarded the list of 457 wines the highest class ranking – three glasses – at the Sydney event earlier this year.
Restaurant and Catering Association CEO Juliana Payne congratulated the winners of the 2018 NSW Wine List Awards.
“I’d urge all wine connoisseurs not to just to take our word for it but to go out and enjoy the authentic wine experience that each of these businesses have to offer,” Ms Payne said.
