Crafts, clothes and food will be available, alongside children’s activities including face painting and a jumping castle from 9am-3pm.

Principal Glen Bourke said the stall fees, as well as the school barbecue and gold coin entry charge, helped fund Orange East’s major projects.

Mr Bourke said revenue from previous markets have helped fund the student kitchen and playground resurfacing and enabled the replacement of some of the school’s old equipment.

“The market enables us to target big projects. We’re in the process of putting in a water bottle refill station and buying every kid a drink bottle, it puts those kind of projects in reach,” he said.

He said feedback from families in the past is the “lovely old school” provides a great environment for a fun day out.

Mr Bourke thanked the parent and citizens association for the “phenomenal amount of work they do” each year.
