Mr Kitchingman is Duntryleague Golf Club’s latest general manager after first vying for the role three years ago.
Growing up in Cowra, he took up golfing as a teenager and co-ordinated the junior golfers before moving to Sydney for 12 years to hone his hospitality and management skills.

“[The move] was about getting out of Sydney and getting a bit closer to home,” he said
“Duntryleague is well renowned, it has a great reputation as a golf course.”
Mr Kitchingman said he hoped to fine tune the club’s existing offerings.
IT’S ALL IN THE FAMILY FOR THE MESSENGERS
TOM Messenger is another professional to flee the congestion of Sydney to take a role in Orange, in his case as the owner of Messenger and Messenger Solicitors.
Started by Christopher Messenger and Christine Carter in 1985, Mr Messenger said his parents would remain involved in consultant roles.
He specialised in property, town planning, litigation and local government in Sydney, which he would continue to pursue, but he said he was also enjoying general practice.
“There’s more face-to-face contact with clients and dealing with issues that come up on a day-to-day basis,” he said.
POP-UP HATS MAKE A SPLASH AT GALLERY
MILLINER Fiona Schofield will be at the Corner Store Gallery until Sunday, October 28 with her pop-up shop, The Hatmaker.
Featuring her latest projects, gallery director Madeline Holborow said Ms Schofield also offered repairs for hats which were much-loved, but had seen better days.

“She has it set up as she would have a retail shop,” she said.
Ms Holborow said Thursday night’s opening attracted about 40 people.
READY AND ACCOUNTED FOR AT FIELD DAYS
ACCOUNTING, bookkeeping and business advisory firm MBC will be at the Australian National Field Days from October 25-27.
The firm will host a guest speaker Tim Thompson from Xero, running information sessions on farm accounting software.

Co-director and Molong-based farmer, Ben Wright said the team of experts would be onhand at the field days to discuss creating success and stability.
“We support farmers to manage their business risks and to prepare for, manage through and recover from drought and hardship,” he said.
