Nominations for the seven-race meeting were released on Monday morning, with those for the feature events extended for Tuesday.
The final number of nominations for the 1200m cup was 13, while a healthy 148 were received in total for the meeting.
Among the feature runners is Long Lasting, trained at the track by Kylie Kennedy, while Justin Stanley has also put two forward for the $22,000.
Stanley has been training at Narromine in recent times and the returning Incision and Prattler are set to represent him in the Dandy Cup.
Those three appear outsiders prior to the release of the official fields, with the likes of Molasses and Any Blinkin’ Day likely to be the most popular.
The Dennis Bush-trained Molasses has proven to be one of the standout sprinters in the western area while Any Blinkin’ Day, trained at Dubbo by Clint Lundholm, is out to bounce back after a disappointing effort in the Coonamble Cup last time out.
Final fields will be released on Thursday before a bumper crowd is expected to show on Saturday.
The Narromine track has received plenty of praise in recent times, curator and jockey Ricky Blewitt commended by many for his work.
