The youth was in the vehicle, and was taken to Orange hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash.
“He was later released and we were able to arrest the young person yesterday,” Chief Inspector Atkins said on Friday.
The vehicle was reported stolen from Nathan Street on October 4.
He said police charged the boy with taking a car, driving unlicensed, and police pursuit offences.
He has been granted to bail and will appear in Orange Children’s Court at a later date.
