After dominating the first two rounds in Coffs Harbour and Dubbo earlier in the season with 72 and 73-point meets, Robinson needed only 33 points from his final meet two weeks ago to clinch the crown.
Tony Bregonje finished in second with 172, with 59 points in the final round at Lithgow not enough to overcome Robinson’s 42 point lead heading in, while Luke Seymour finished in third with 155.
Robinson also finished second in the KA Medium category, with 148 points across the three rounds.
He finished a long way behind eventual winner Nick Cooley, who polled highest in two of the three rounds and second in a third to finish with 202 points, but Robinson and Cooley were the only drivers to consistently poll in the top end of the field.
