Headspace Orange encouraged the community to “add a little colour to your life” by joining them to paint a mural on the wall of its Peisley Street location on Thursday.
Coordinator Sharna Lord said painting is a great way to relax and switch off your mind.
“Plus, this is something we haven’t done before and it will be a great community artwork available for everyone to enjoy,” she said.
In the last Financial Year, the not-for-profit registered almost 4000 visits from 12-25-year-olds for support for mental health concerns, general health, drug, alcohol, education and vocational help.
Manager Alison Logan said it’s wonderful to see so many reach out.
"That means our clients, their families, friends and the greater community are recognising the importance of our services and in doing so, smashing the stigma associated with mental health,” she said.
To participate head to the centre on Thursday for mural painting from 10am-4pm with a barbecue lunch at 12pm included.
