Sylvie and Lenya Miller emptied their piggy banks this month to help send a friend to the United States for life changing surgery.
Willow Powick is a 4-year-old from Port Macquarie who was born with profound hearing loss.
When the Miller sisters heard of her family’s plight to raise the $110,000 required for surgery which could allow her to hear, they pooled their savings.

Together the girls gave away $273.15, with their mum Carine Miller matching the donation for a total of $547, deposited last week.
Willow’s mum, Skye Powick said after a tough morning trying to settle a deposit with The Californian Ear Institute, she burst into tears when she saw what the girls had done.
“It was just precious,” said Mrs Powick.
“Words can’t explain.”
