A year before he died, Mrs Cheney said her husband decided he wanted a dog, and on walks long and short, he loved being around Trooper.
“It was therapy for Jordan,” Mrs Cheney said.
Walking, going for little walks and talking, it was good.

“We called him Trooper because our son Daniel thought his dad was such a trooper the way he was trying to fight cancer.”
“Walking, going for little walks and talking, it was good. He was only a puppy as you could pick him up and carry him around everywhere.”
Mrs Cheney will be a proud attendee of Bark for Life from 9am to 1pm on Sunday at Endeavour Oval.
Register on the day or check out the ‘Bark for Life’ Facebook event.
