A MAN who was stopped multiple times by police for driving offences in different cars has been sentenced in Orange Local Court.

Jamie Stephen McGlashan, 41, of Parkes Street, Wellington, and formerly of Spring Street, Orange, was given community service, will have to undergo at least 12 months supervision and has been disqualified from driving.
Magistrate David Day said while McGlashen didn’t have many breaches, they were in a short period of time.

On August 29, McGlashan was caught driving a white Ford Falcon on South Terrace and was charged with driving while disqualified, which earned him another 12-month driving disqualification as well as a community corrections order and 50 hours of community service.
He was also convicted because the car was unregistered after the registration expired on August 21.
McGlashan he was also stopped by police while driving an unregistered and uninsured green Mazda 323 with incorrect number plates in Bletchington Street on June 6.
Police conducted checks that revealed the registration belonged to a white Mitsubishi Magna and his driver’s licence had been disqualified on March 19 for 12 months, and the car’s registration was cancelled on February 13, 2017.
Police were driving along Maxwell Avenue when they saw a silver Ford Territory driving on the wrong side of the road at 5.40pm and McGlashan corrected his position to narrowly avoid a collision with the police car.
The correct registration plates were found in the boot of the car.
He was convicted, given a 12-month supervised community corrections order, 50 hours of community service and was disqualified from driving for 12 months for the driving ban breach.
He was also convicted of driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and for driving with the wrong number plates.

He was stopped and charged with failing to comply with a driving prohibition and was convicted and given a 12-month supervised conditional release order
He was also convicted and disqualified from driving for three months for driving with methamphetamine and cannabis in his system.
On March 23, he was also caught driving a green Suzuki Swift in Orange despite never having a driver’s licence for which he was convicted.
