Years of tourism experience will help Lucy White as she steps into the role of Destination Country and Outback NSW Tourism Network general manager.
She has been appointed to guide and assist the network’s board in the growth of the tourism industry in the largest of the six NSW Government Tourism Networks.
Ms White replaces Rhonda Taylor who has been the acting general manager since February
Ms White will be based in the tourism network’s Dubbo headquarters and she will commence the role on October 8.
She brings 22 years of tourism industry experience from previous positions held in local and regional tourism organisations within the Central West.
For the past two years, Ms White has been the destination manager at Bathurst Regional Council and is currently a board member of the peak tourism industry body, Australian Regional Tourism.
Ms White has managed and guided tourism operations in Bathurst and Mudgee and also held the position of a councillor at Mid-Western Regional Council.
Destination Country and Outback NSW Network covers 61.2 per cent of NSW – from Tenterfield in the north, to Oberon and Cowra in the south, and from Lithgow in the east out to Broken Hill in the west.
