Nationals members gathers at Canobolas Hall on Sunday for the vote, which set up Mr Gee for a possible second term.
Mr Gee, who has occupied the seat since 2016, was not challenged for preselection.
The hall also hosted the annual general meeting for Orange’s electoral council and chairman Jeff Herdegen was re-elected uncontested.
While the federal poll is yet to be announced, Mr Herdegen said he would turn his attention to the more immediate state election, where Nationals candidate Yvette Quinn will attempt to regain the seat from Shooters, Fishers and Farmers member Phil Donato.
I think this campaign will bring out what the Shooters and Fishers can’t do - they can't govern.

He said Ms Quinn stood a strong chance against the incumbent.

“I think this campaign will bring out what the Shooters and Fishers can’t do – they can’t govern and people will understand that,” he said.
“It will produce the evidence of what The Nationals have achieved for the electorate.”
Mr Gee did not respond to requests for comment by the time of publication.
