The panel includes Peter Hazelton, who finished as Hazelton’s chief pilot, Bruce Noble, who spent a lot of time with airline owner Max Hazelton in the 1950s when the business started, Ernie Berglund of Tasmania, who was an agricultural pilot for Mr Hazelton, Daryl Jones who was also an agricultural pilot with some ‘foundation’ history of the airline, Ian Jones, known as ‘Mouse,’ an agricultural pilot based in Cudal for many years and Charlie Stammers who finished as the chief engineer of Hazelton Airlines.
Organising committee member Carolyn Egan said they had collected memorabilia to put on show.
“On the day we will have Max’s original bicycle on which we were all familiar with him doing the rounds of Cudal Airport, pilot and flight attendant uniforms of the day, marketing posters/banners etc and some scrap books as well as many digital images collected over the years,” she said.
Andrew Flanagan, who went through the ranks as a pilot with Hazelton and is now a Qantas pilot, is the master of ceremonies.
