In a note to the Byng Street business’ “loyal customers” Mr Bacon said he wouldn’t go into details about the issue “whilst it is still being dealt with by the legal team”.
”What this does mean is that we are unable to trade and serve our customers at the UB until further notice,” he said.
Mr Bacon said his associated business The Lord Anson would operate as usual.
“In the meantime we will be at The Lord Anson pulling beers and continuing to serve our wonderful customers,” he said.
“To those people who have functions booked we will be in touch over the next three days to discuss your options as we would love to continue to accommodate you and deliver a wonderful experience for you and your guests.”
According to Mr Bacon all vouchers will be valid at The Lord Anson.
