Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian men and and every year almost 20,000 men are diagnosed with it and approximately 3500 die as a result of the disease every year.
On Monday the Orange group will meet at 70 Prince Street from 6pm.
According to the Prostate Cancer Foundation CEO Jane Endacott regular check-ups are vital in beating the disease.
“The Orange group is made up of people from the local community who have a passion for assisting others who encounter prostate cancer,” she said.
“Having been on this cancer journey they are well places to raise awareness.”
