Hundred of daffodils and dozens of other displays were all lined up for judging, a confirmation if ever there was one that spring is officially here.
Janet Johnstone and Rob Slarke were two people moving through the flowers with very serious looks on their faces, picking one up, comparing it to another, putting it back down and moving on.
The pair were two judges at the show on Saturday, and said they were “very impressed” with the flowers on display.

It’s no surprise, considering Orange is “one of the ideal places” for growing the flower, which comes in hundreds of varieties split into 12 divisions for judging.
“We’re point judging out of 100, where we give 40 points for form, 30 for condition, colour and texture, 15 for poise and stem and 15 for size which makes it out of 100,” Mr Slarke said.
“We’ve both been exhibiting for 15 years and judging for five or six.”
Mrs Johnstone said she loves the flowers.
“They’re the herald of spring, this is a very good climate for growing them, they need the frost so they’ve got it covered,” she said.
“The wow factor, you walk in and see it’s just amazing, it’ll raise your spirits.”
Mr Slarke said people would benefit from coming down to see flowers in person, with all species named to make anyone wanting to buy daffodils able to see the flower before buying any.
