A man who swore at police twice when they knocked on his door on September 16 just after 11pm for a bail check was fined in Orange Local Court on Monday.

Shannon Robert Fogg, 23, of Gardiner Road, was fined $220 for using offensive language in a public place after he opened the door to police, yelled a profanity at them and slammed the door shut and when they knocked a second time he swore at them again.
Solicitor John Song said Fogg worked from 6.30am to 5.30pm each day with an employer and his own business and was losing extra sleep trying to resettle children after late night police checks.
Magistrate David Day said the same language is heard regularly in Summer Street but the location and time of night when people were asleep or preparing to go to sleep made his swearing offensive.
