There's many reasons for writing a book but some have real power through personal experience.

The reasons for writing books are as many as there are writers. The 2017 edition of the Boy who was raised as a Dog is one book I read on the effect of Trauma. The book’s writers set out to develop understanding on ‘trauma informed’ care, helping children struggling from traumatic experiences in life.  The recorded traumatic experiences in the book are described ‘as the dark side of human experience.’ These writers describe their learning as a journey to be humane. They also learnt from the children suffering from the effects of trauma of loss, love and healing and these children’s journeys gave them hope - the lessons in life relevant to us all.
