Up to 460 competitors and as many support crew and spectators will be in town for the race, which will be staged over a course looping around Molong on Saturday 22 September 2018.
It will be the third successive year Molong has hosted the championships.
Cabonne Council mayor Kevin Beatty said major events, such as these championships, bring considerable economic benefits to both Molong and Cabonne Shire.
“There was a great atmosphere in the town when the championships were held here in the previous two years and I’m certain this weekend’s event will be bigger and better,” Beatty said.
The road races will be conducted in age categories for men and women over varying distances of a 28-kilometre course that starts near the Molong Village Green and proceeds along Packham Drive, Garra Road and Banjo Paterson Way.
“The races should be a great spectacle so I urge people to get along to Molong to witness top class cycling and appreciate the skill and fitness of the competitors,” Beatty said.
The first event is scheduled to start at 8am, with the final race finishing about 4.30pm.
