The 125-year-old family run circus is one of only two in Australia that still has big cats on the program and has returned to Orange after 21 years.
The first show will be 6pm Wednesday night.
Circus onsite manager Warren Lennon, is part of the fifth generation to be involved in the circus and said bookings picked up as soon as the circus arrived in town.
“In 1997 we were here for the annual show, this is the first time back since then,” Mr Lennon said.
“We’ve just changed our normal run and we’ve done a country run of northern Victoria and lower NSW and we are just starting to head back north.
“The regional centres have been very good for us to come down and show the animals they don’t see in the country.”
He said the big draw cards to the circus are the lions but the miniature ponies, camels, donkeys and the wheel of death also continue to be popular.
“It’s been good, it’s been very good, we went through some of the drought areas this year and it’s been down a little and then when we came back to the regional cities it’s come back up again,” Mr Lennon said.
The circus has set up at Orange Showground with performances running until September 30 and bookings and times can be found online at www.lennonbroscircus.com.au, phone 0408 536 666 or the onsite box office opens one hour before each show.
Show times during both weeks will be 6pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 2pm and 6pm Saturday, 11am and 2pm on the first Sunday and 11am only on the second Sunday.
