MORE than 50 dancers and drummers will bring music and moves from across the world to Kenna Hall on Saturday night when they take part in the Dance from Far Horizons spectacular.

Performers will showcase drumming and dance styles, particularly belly dancing, from locations such as Indonesia, Nepal and Latin America.
Starting at 6pm, the event will showcase dancers from Orange, Bathurst, Dubbo, Lithgow, the Blue Mountains, Canberra, Sydney and the south coast.
Among them will be highly acclaimed Ghawazi Caravan artistic director Devi Mamak, whose Blue Mountains group performs a American tribal style belly dance.
Dance from Far Horizons is part of the Stories from Far Horizons project, which was conceived by Orange CultureHub and will be a celebration of cultural diversity through the expression of dance with performers of all abilities.
The event will be run by volunteers from Orange CultureHub, Inner Wheel Orange Minhi and will be presented by Orange Tribal Fusion Bellydance and Orange CultureHub.
Orange City Council’s Migrant and Refugee Support Service migrant support officer Anni Gallagher also supported the event and said it will be a spectacular and colourful show.
“It also offers the opportunity for newly arrived migrants and refugees to come along and meet and greet in the friendly community of Orange,” she said.
Entry will require a gold coin donation and people are encouraged to bring a plate of food to share.
