A man who was caught in possession of 1.19 grams of methamphetamine was sentenced in Orange Local Court this week.

Michael Cleaver, 34, of Calang Street, was given a 12-month good-behaviour bond and was fined $500 by magistrate David Day on Monday.
“This becomes his third drug offence and third conviction, Mr Cleaver is standing on the edge of the prison precipice,” Mr Day said.
However, he took into account the guilty plea and Cleaver’s need to leave work to care for a family member.
According to police facts, police found the methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in a search of his backpack at 1.30am on March 30.
Solicitor Clive Hill said Cleaver has been clean for two-and-a-half months and is happy to attend relapse courses.
Teenager caught with cannabis
A 16-year-old boy who was found in possession of cannabis in Robertson Park was given a 12-month good-behaviour bond in Orange Children’s Court on Monday.
The teenager who cannot be named because of his age was found in possession of 8.9 grams of cannabis leaf including packaging.
Police officers were conducting Operation Explorer when they saw the boy acting suspiciously in the park at 4.30pm on July 19 so searched him and found the cannabis.
