After attending numerous events just like it, founder of the Mudgee and Surrounds Lego Users Group Nathaniel Leatherby has decided to bring LEGOfest to the Central West.
The event will showcase Lego creations from across the region, as well as builds from Sydney.
Children will be able to have a go at building their own creation on the day at a free build area, while there will also be 40 tables with different Lego creations on them.
MAP: Where will the event be held …
The proceedings will include a sausage sizzle and raffles, with first prize a large Lego set of Saturn V, the rocket that went to the moon in 1969.
The day does not discriminate against age, in fact, adults are encouraged to come along.
“Kids aren’t the only ones who like Lego – adults do too – so the event is really open to people of all ages,” Mr Leatherby said.
The event will be held on Sunday, December 2 from 9am-5pm at the Mudgee Showground.
Entry will be $5 at the gates, with children under the age of three granted free entry.
If the day is a success, Mr Leatherby said it is very likely the event will be held annually.
People who wish to showcase their very own Lego build can do so by contacting Mr Leatherby by email to nathanielleatherby@yahoo.com, with name and contact included.
All profits from the event will go towards 200 Bales.
