Hamish Blake, along with his comedy partner Andy Lee, helped put Cudal on the map (and Orange in its place) with an interview with a journalist that aired online on Monday night.
Verity Middleton of the Cudal News – a monthly chronicle of life in the village – was given the opportunity to speak to the pair as part of the promotional tour for the upcoming series of their True Story show.

Mrs Middleton made the most of her five minutes with the star comedians, gifting them Cudal and District Soccer Club jackets and selling them a full-page advertisement space in the paper’s next issue – at the cost of $50.
“If you want to get some more advertising just see Jacinta at the Post Office, she’ll hook you up,” she advised.
Mrs Middleton also took the opportunity to canvass the duo’s views on some issues that “affect the people of Cudal”, including the acting prospects of the village’s octogenarian Joyce Whiley, and the hurdles facing the 90-strong soccer club each Saturday (“we just have to get the cow pats off the field before the game can start”).
Job well done, Verity.
