I AM writing you regarding the plans to build a multi-purpose stadium in north Orange.

I believe that we need outdoor activities and more events for the young people in the future, however I feel that the proposed land in north Orange could be better utilised as a theme park attraction, or something to attract outdoor events other then sports.

It would give a boost to tourism and give the Orange youth and young people something to attend, with the opportunity of participating in events.

I believe that Wade Park could be re-designed into a multi-purpose stadium, although I understand a centre of excellence for cricket is to be built there.

I would also like to point out that Moulder Park has been previously utilised for various sports: the cycling velodrome, cricket ground and junior rugby league matches in years gone by.

I still believe these two options would be more beneficial then building a stadium out of town and from scratch.

We also have to look at the thoroughfare and accessibility to travel to the venue.

Kind regards, and thank you for your time,

Joel Everett
