Which makes the efforts of the kids at Albert Street Children’s Centre – along with their parents and teachers – all the more special.
On Thursday the centre, operated by Nurture One Childcare, hosted a fundraising breakfast, with all money going towards the Buy a Bale campaign.
As of about lunchtime, $1180 had been raised for the cause, with the centre’s Racheal Morris predicting that figure would swell as more parents and guardians returned raffle books in the coming days.
Raffle prizes included a 55-inch televisions, bottles of wine, a cleaner’s services, and more.
Families and guests tucked into $5 bacon and egg rolls, as well as coffee and tea, before being offered an array of cupcakes.
