More than 30 students’ art from both regional and metropolitan schools will be on display from Saturday, including Kinross Wolaroi School’s Tharni-Jo Parkinson’s Face Off sculpture (yet to be unpacked).
ARTEXPRESS 2018 is a series of exhibitions which features senior Visual Arts students work and one of those collections has made its way to the Byng Street gallery.

- Orange Mayor Reg Kidd
Orange Mayor Reg Kidd said the exhibition was a must-see for students currently completing, or thinking about studying a visual arts subject for the HSC.
“These artworks are some of the best in the state,” he said.
“It’s fantastic our students don’t have to travel to metropolitan areas to see the high calibre needed for top marks, or to get inspiration for their own HSC works.”
The exhibition has grown from a small show in the 1950s to a major event in NSW.
The show is a joint initiative of the NSW Department of Education and the NSW Education Standards Authority with support from S&S and the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation.
ARTEXPRESS will run from August 25 – September 23.
