Schools all over Orange are taking part in Book Week this week, which might explain the wizards, witches, explorers and pirates waiting for buses with their mums in the mornings.
When the characters make their way off to class, don’t be surprised to see a few special books left behind.
A group of mums is using the literary celebration as a chance to spread a positive message about Australian refugees.
The Mums4Refugees Orange group is taking part in a national campaign which sees books such as Boy Overboard by Morris Gleitzman and I'm Australian Too by Mem Fox left at iconic places to encourage distribution.
Keep an eye out for “Pick Me Up” labels around town.
