School leavers in Orange are encouraged to head to an open day at TAFE NSW Orange on Saturday to get a taste of their vocational training and education options for next year.

Demonstrations on offer will include the fields of hospitality, hair and beauty, construction, floristry, horticulture, early-childhood education and care, nursing and health, and animal care.
TAFE NSW Relieving Regional General Manager Adam Bennett said visitors to the event would learn more about the more than 1,200 courses on offer.
“The open day will provide prospective students with an invaluable opportunity to explore the innovative range of courses and pathways to university, meet with award-winning teachers and explore the practical, hands-on facilities,” he said.
Mr Bennett said the first 200 people to arrive on Saturday will receive a free coffee.
There also will be free bacon and egg rolls for breakfast, and a sausage sizzle provided by Lions Club for lunch, as well as live music, a live broadcast from 105.9 HitFM, rock climbing and Aboriginal art workshops.
The open day will run from 10am-2pm at TAFE NSW Orange’s March Street campus.
