The streets of Millthorpe will light up for the first event of the festival, with a night market taking place between 5pm and 8pm.
Orange 360 communications manager Emily Mitchell said there will be fireworks at 8pm and fire drums will warm people in the town’s historic main street.
Rod de Vries made 10 fire drums for the event and they were designed to have cut-outs so the word Millthorpe shows up when the drums are lit.
Live music from Smith and Jones will add to the atmosphere and there will be plenty of stalls with warming drinks, food and wine.
