A member of The Journey Person; a collection of designers and artisans based in Orange, Mrs Woods will have handmade bunches of flowers and Kokedama for sale at The Corner Store Gallery from Friday.
In addition to Mrs Woods Japanese style plants, the collective’s winter popup will feature a selection of jewellery, clothes, ceramics, textiles, art and homewares.
“There’s so many talented people in Orange – we’re really spoilt for choice,” Mrs Woods said.
The Corner Store Gallery director and fellow Journey Person Madeline Holborow said the group has grown from eight makers at its first market in 2015 to 35 in 2018.
“We want people to know that you don’t have to travel to the city to find amazingly talented makers,” Mrs Holborow said.
More than half of the group will have their wares for sale at the gallery until Sunday, with Mrs Holborow’s new line of jewellery which she describes as “feminine but a bit blingy and fun” to feature for the first time.
She said visitors to Orange are often surprised when they see the quality of what is being produced here.
“Everything at our pop up is handmade – we want them to be impressed,” she said.
