The Bloomfield Bushland nature trail on Bloomfield Road will provide a scenic link between the hospital precinct and Gosling Creek Reserve.
And you can play your part in helping it get established by joining in a tree-planting event at the reserve on Sunday, as part of National Tree Day.
Organiser and occupational therapist Yvette Black said the shared bicycle/walkway from Bloomfield Road to near Ronald McDonald House would provide a recreational boost for the area.
“We’re so lucky to have this beautiful bushland setting right on our doorstep and the National Tree Day event is a great family-friendly event for the community,” she said.
They are seeking volunteers to plant 600 native trees in the reserve from 10am-1pm with a barbecue to feed the hungry helpers.
