Foundation Day marks the establishment of the University on July 19, 1989, when the Charles Sturt University Act (Act no. 76, 1989) was signed.
This is an opportunity to celebrate our history, our people and our community, to take some time to reflect on our successes, celebrate our past and look forward to our future.
At CSU Orange, there will be range of formal and not-so-formal events starting at 10am in Templers Mill with the launch of the CSU 2018 Economic Impact Report (prepared by the Western Research Institute).
CSU’s RED, Recognising Excellence Daily, staff excellence awards will be presented by Mr Paul Dowler, CSU chief financial officer, to Orange staffers involved in the CSUWarOnWaste and the Residence Life Playing it Right program.
As this is our 29th birthday, there’ll be cake, entertainment and games, including three minute table tennis and other challenges.
Entertainment will be provided by singer and guitarist, and CSU graduate, Matt Boylan-Smith.
There are lots of ways you can join the celebrations. Come along to our Foundation Day events on campus or wear red and share your #celebratecsu photos on social media.
The unique and inspiring stories of our students, staff and CSU community will be highlighted through social media.
