Jets’ small, 11-strong NSW Country Short Course Championships contingent swum their hearts out at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre last weekend, and finished with six top 10 finalist ribbons combined.

While the Orange club didn’t feature on the overall medal tally, it did finish well above the bottom of the overall pointscore and the experience its swimmers picked up will be invaluable.

Thomas Pell was the best-performed of Jets’ group, claiming three top 10 finishes on his own and producing the club’s best result with a fifth placing in his boys’ 12 years 100-metre freestyle final.

Rory Thornhill, Callum Brown, Luke Hinrichsen and boys’ 12 and under 4x50m freestyle relay team also claimed top 10 finishes.
