Guests attended the official launch party for Western Ranges Motorcycles Orange in Peisley Street on Saturday.
Steve and Bev Lukas and Greg and Jane Gaskin of Tamworth have bought the Orange dealership which will sell Harleys, Suzukis and YCF motorcycles.
Dealer principal Steve Lowcock said the change of ownership had led to more motorcycles and merchandise in store and changes in the service department.
“There are new technicians in the workshop. We’ve got two guys out there who had worked here previously and we were able to get them back,” he said.
Mr Lowcock said Harleys ranged in price from $9995 to about $52,000 to appeal to a variety of riders.
He said while many Harley buyers were older men, there were female riders in Orange and there was a mix of ages.
“There are a lot of younger people looking for Harleys,” he said.
Mr Lowcock said the opening party included test rides for customers followed by refreshments and live music.
FAST LANE TO SUCCESS
Mike and Karen Andrew haven’t taken too long to establish their Fastways Couriers Orange business as one of the best in regional areas.
The operation was recognised for its business growth over its first 18 months by being named runner-up for the company’s Regional Franchise of the Year award for 2018 at a gala awards night.
She said the business served much of the Central West.
“While franchising is not a model for everyone the Fastway model has been successful in our area with an 80 per cent success rate in courier franchisee recruitment,” she said.
“We’re so proud of our staff and our fast-growing business in the Central West.”
