Heavy frosts in recent days might have helped the snow last this long, but the white blanket was limited to the very top of the mountain, suggesting a little more sunshine might be enough to melt the last of it.
Despite some moisture expected on Wednesday and Thursday, above-average temperatures mean it’s likely to be rain rather than snowflakes.
