David Aaron Kelly, 33, of Byng Street, did not appear in court to be sentenced for having the drug.

He was given a conviction, without further penalty in his absence. 

According to police, at 7.20am on December 15, Kelly was sitting in a green Mitsubishi Mirage on the corner of Lilac Street and Banksia Avenue and was searched with the drug was found in his pocket.
