The group of year seven and eight students get together in their lunch times to expand their digital skills under the eye of teacher Kahina Kharitos.
“It’s a chance to build up their digital literacy as well exploring what they might be interested in pursuing in year 11 and 12,” Ms Kharitos said.
As part of the education component of the expo at James Sheahan Catholic High School on Friday, the OHS students will demonstrate what they’ve been working on this year.
Anime fan, Iliana Peter will give attendees a tour of the website she created to offer direction to users on how to draw the popular Japanese computer animation.
The only girl in the group at this stage, she said she joined the squad to brush up on cyber skills.
“I wasn’t very good before,” Iliana admits, after demonstrating how to navigate the website she built.
