I WOULD like to spare a thought for the suppliers of supplementary feed products which are such immensely valuable commodities to farmers in the current relentless task of providing supplementary feed to livestock in our area.

Bearing in mind the workings of supply and demand I have encountered a surprisingly manageable ethos of business dynamics from feed stock suppliers.
The attitude has not been one of ‘let us up the price and make a killing’, instead, it has been a responsible working with farmers, rationing of limited livestock feed such that everyone has been able to get just enough at critical times to get through the next couple of weeks until more becomes available.
While the price is not inexpensive it is not prohibitively being raised, causing immense grief and distress for both the farmer and the livestock.
Thumbs up to the suppliers because I think often you are bearing the brunt of the distress and anxiety of those feeding out on a daily basis.
