Mr Singh was one of 11 people from six countries who became Australian citizens in the Orange City Council chambers this week.
He said he moved to Sydney to study in 2007 before working on a farm at Cudal.
But after going back to Sydney he said he missed the Orange region lifestyle.
“It’s a quiet life, the way I like it. Since I came here [Australia] I wanted to live here,” he said.
The other new citizens were: Deepa Pokamalayil John (India), Cristy Pangilinan (Philipines), Balotlhanyi Mokotedi (Botswana), Alistair Merrifield (NZ), Kuei-yin-Liang (Taiwan), Juliet Hogg (Philippines), Naresh Handa (India), Saanvi Handa (Australia), Dong Cao (Vietnam) and Jimmon Augustine (India).
