$1.5 million in grants for community youth projects

Youth organisations are being urged to apply for a share of $1.5 million in Youth Opportunities grant funding.

One-off grants between $10,000 and $50,000 are available to not-for-profit organisations and local councils for youth-led and youth-driven community projects.

The minister for police and the minister for emergency services Troy Grant said grants provided to local organisations would help young people to participate, engage and be included in our community

This year’s funding round would have an additional $400,000 available.

Since the program was launched in 2012, Youth Opportunities has provided $9 million in funding to 177 projects across NSW.

Applications for grants close on Monday, July 16 for more info: http://youth.nsw.gov.au/youth-opportunities/
