After dropping their opening two rounds to the powerhouse Dubbo Demons and remarkably strong Bathurst Giants – those sides lead the competition – the Tigerettes have bounced back with thumping victories over the resurgent Parkes Panthers and Cowra Blues.
As a result, the black and golds sit fourth ahead of this weekend’s representative round and the following week’s June long weekend general bye.
They’re eight points behind the Demons and Giants with a game in hand on both those sides, but only trail the third-placed Bathurst Bushrangers by four.
Lyndell Bassett has been superb for the Tigerettes, booting eight majors – including four in last week’s 49-point win over the Blues – to sit third in the competition’s goal-kicking ranks.
