So it is with Scottish folk band The Paul McKenna Band, which will be performing for JAM Orange at the Bloomfield Hall on Sunday June 3.
The five-piece is led by McKenna who was also named ‘Scots singer of the year’ in 2012 at the Scots Trad Music Awards.
JAM Orange’s Paul Kelly said it was rare for Orange to have international folk music of this quality.
“They play traditional Scottish folk music plus a lot of their original stuff from a 10 or 15-year catalogue that they’ve taken across the world,” he said.
“We’re really lucky and excited to see musicians of this calibre coming to Orange.”
They are supported by Canowindra singer/songwriter Nerida Cuddy.
