Fatality Free Friday will be held May 25.
Since the initiative began in 2007, more than 221,000 pledges have been signed.
The campaign aims to create long-term change by making drivers responsible for their own behaviour on the roads.
During 2017, there were 1227 people killed on the roads. Only 12 days were fatality free.
Research conducted by the Australian Road Safety Foundation and Bob Jane T-Marts showed 91 per cent of Australian drivers agree car crashes are the result of bad decisions or attitudes.
There were also four out of five drivers who said preventing road deaths was the personal responsibility of road users.
ARSF founder and CEO Russell White said: “The reality is more often than not the tragic loss of life on our roads is because of someone’s choice – the choice to speed or to use a mobile phone, the choice to drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the choice not to wear a seatbelt or run a red light.”
