About 50 classic cars and their owners celebrated National Motoring Heritage Day, the third Sunday in May, to celebrate our rich history of the automobile.
Sean Alexander showed off his 1978 Kingswood ute after the cars drove around Spring Hill and Lucknow.
He said he had partially restored and painted the car to its current condition.
“It was red, I’ve got a yellow Monaro the same [colour],” he said.
Paul Rouse had his shiny 1967 Ford XR GT Falcon in the park after buying it from a Victorian owner two years ago.
“It’s pretty original, it’s only done 45,000 miles,” he said.
“Apparently it was stored for 25 years.”
