Housing Plus events and fundraising co-ordinator Rochelle Monaghan said about 280 people attended the ball at the Orange Ex-Services’ Club on Saturday night.
She said it had raised about $38,000, which was more than raised at the inaugural ball the previous year.
“We’re just doing a final tally from donations made on the night,” she said.
People at the ball, presented by the Central Western Daily and Housing Plus, were shown 3D images of the crisis centre rooms.
Mrs Monaghan said the annual ball would continue to raise funds for the centre, even once it was built.
