Orange bowed out of last weekend’s Hockey NSW Under-18 Boys’ Championships at the semi-final stage in division two, beaten by a powerful Grafton outfit in the final four.

The side – led by the likes of Wanderers’ Bailey Ferguson, Henry Jones and Connor Morris – was strong through the preliminary stage, bouncing back from a first-up loss to Newcastle (2-0) to score three straight wins and finish second in pool A.
After that round one loss Orange defeated North West Sydney (3-2) before thumping Tamworth (8-1) and Canberra (10-0) to set-up a showdown with Grafton in the semi-finals.
Grafton proved too powerful, winning 3-1 and ending Orange’s title hopes after an excellent showing.
